At SUNY Ulster, your success is not only important to you, it’s important to us. You never need to finger you’re on your own. SUNY Ulster's sense and staff are understanding and responsive to the needs of students with disabilities. The College's transferral to serving its students is stated in its Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Policy, which appears in the Student Handbook, a publication distributed to all students. All buildings and classrooms on the Stone Ridge campus are wheelchair accessible. Fresh Start The Fresh Start Policy (FSP) provides a student who left SUNY Ulster without completing an wonk program an opportunity to return and start then with a new grade-point stereotype (GPA). The FSP student who wishes to obtain a one-year diploma must well-constructed a total of 15 credit validness semester hours without readmission.  Application for FSP must be made at the time of reentry and can be made only once during a student's wonk career at SUNY Ulster. All levels of mathematics are tutored on a drop-in understructure by professional and peer tutors. Students can moreover receive assistance in managing math anxiety. This program assists qualifying students in successfully completing a higher program and acquiring full-time employment.  Components of the RISE Program include, withal with full-time higher attendance, student orientation, employability readiness, the Essential Skills Workshop, Employment Exploration Seminar, employment strategies, job placement, and child superintendency assistance.  Persons who are receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) assistance and interested in full-time study leading to employment may be eligible for this program. TRIO/Student Support Services Student Support Services is a federally funded U.S. Department of Education TRIO grant program that provides opportunities for wonk development, assists students with vital higher requirements, and serves to motivate students toward the successful completion of their postsecondary education. A student is eligible to participate in the TRIO/Student Support Services Program if he or she meets any of the pursuit requirements: is a low income individual, first generation higher student, or a student who has a disability. The pursuit services will be offered to eligible students: transition-to-college workshops and success seminars, structured first year wits addressing learning styles and needs, tutoring, mentoring, study groups, cultural enrichment activities and trips to four year colleges.
